Well I said I would keep you posted and although I’m late in posting, here it is.
I went in to hospital for my laparoscopy on 12 June. The operation was fine, I didn’t really suffer with pain ‘downstairs’ just a little sore where the wounds were and some horrendous shoulder pain where the air they pumped into my bits dissipated. The good news is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. No endometriosis, no cysts, nothing. I was so happy to have confirmation that there is nothing wrong with me and I should be able to have babies without intervention or treatment. When that’s going to be though, is an entirely different story!
In other news, we had a phone call from Charlotte’s adjutant on the way home from the hospital, telling her the news we have been waiting so long for. She got redundancy! We are really happy about it. Terrified, but happy. We should be back in the UK by September and out of the army by 11 December. It really is quite scary trying to think about what we will do for work, but I’m sure everything will work itself out.
Some sad news now. As I mentioned in a previous post, my best friend lost her mother to cancer back in April. Unfortunately, not long after, they found out her father also had cancer. He was taken into hospital last week for an operation but sadly passed away on Monday. I have no words to describe how sad I feel for her. She has a lot to thank her unborn baby for. If it wasn’t for the baby keeping her going then I don’t think she would be coping at all.
Well, no more baby news at the moment, we have a little too much on our plate to plan another attempt, so we will wait until things settle down.
Oh, if anyone knows of any well paid jobs anywhere in the UK, do let me know!
